Ying Huang, Ph.D.

Ying Huang, Ph.D. is the Chief Executive Office of K2 Therapeutics and Strategic Advisor, APAC at MPM BioImpact. Dr. Huang served as Chief Executive Officer of Legend Biotech Corporation from September 2020 to July 2026 and as Chief Financial Officer from July 2019 until May 2022. Under his leadership, Legend became a cell therapy leader with 3,200 employees and the best-selling cell therapy, Carvykti.

Dr. Huang has also served as director of Quanta Therapeutics, Third Arc Bio, and TCGX Acquisition Corp. Dr. Huang was a Managing Director and Head of Biotech Equity Research at BofA Securities from August 2014 to July 2019. Dr. Huang began as a biotechnology analyst in 2007 and previously worked at Wachovia, Credit Suisse, Gleacher and Barclays before joining BofA.

Prior to his Wall Street career, Dr. Huang was a Principal Scientist at Schering-Plough in the Department of Chemical Research focusing on small molecule drug discovery in the therapeutic areas of cardiovascular and central nervous system. Dr. Huang holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Columbia University.
